- Kapitel 95 -

The rock of our salvation

(Hebrews 3:7-11)
1
Oh come, let us sing to Yahweh; let us sing joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2
Let us enter his presence with thanksgiving; let us sing to him with psalms of praise.
3
For Yahweh is a great God and a great King superior to all gods.
4
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his.
5
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our creator:
7
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today-oh, that you would hear his voice!
8
“Do not harden your heart, as at Meribah, or as on the day of Massah in the wilderness,
9
where your forefathers tested me and tried me, though they had seen my deeds.
10
For forty years I was angry with that generation and said, ’This is a people whose hearts wander astray; they have not known my ways.’
11
Therefore, I vowed in my anger that they would never enter into my resting place.”

Der Fels unserer Rettung

(Hebräer 3,7-11)

Loblied Davids. Kommet, lasset uns dem Herrn frohlocken, Gott jubeln, unserm Retter!
2
Lasset uns früh mit Lobpreis vor sein Angesicht treten und mit Gesängen ihm zujauchzen!
3
Denn ein großer König ist der Herr und ein großer König über alle Götter.
4
Denn in seiner Hand sind alle Grenzen der Erde und der Berge Höhen sind sein.
5
Sein ist das Meer, denn er hat es geschaffen, und das feste Land haben seine Hände gebildet.
6
Kommet, lasset uns anbetend niederfallen und lasset uns weinen vor dem Herrn, der uns erschaffen hat!
7
Denn er ist der Herr, unser Gott, und wir sind das Volk seiner Weide und die Schäflein seiner Leitung.
8
Heute, da ihr seine Stimme hört, verhärtet eure Herzen nicht,
9
wie bei der Reizung am Tage der Versuchung in der Wüste, wo mich eure Väter versuchten, mich auf die Probe stellten, und doch hatten sie meine Werke gesehen.
10
Vierzig Jahre hatte ich Verdruß an diesem Geschlechte und sprach: Stets irren sie im Herzen!
11
Sie haben meine Wege nicht erkannt, so schwur ich in meinem Zorne: Wahrlich, nicht sollen sie in meine Ruhe gelangen.
